Make a simple page from scratch

Learn how to make a simple page from scratch. This is applicable for many page types including Articles, Press Releases, Blogs, Events, etc. in the HUB

Make a simple page from scratch if it does not exist anywhere else yet. Follow these instructions and watch the video below. 

  1. Log in to NEOS
  2. Select the Content HUB via the burger menu in the top left corner
  3. In the Document Tree select a content type category e.g. Article (If you are unsure which page type to choose, read about page types and when to use what, first)
  4. Click on the "+" with horizontal arrow "—>" icon in the menu of the Document Tree and select the type of content page you want to add e.g. Article
  5. Provide a title for the article to be created and click enter
  6. Rename the url path for the Article in the Inspector if necessary and click on Apply at the bottom of the Inspector (Right side)
  7. Add your name abbreviation to author, (ie. CWA), and the publication date in the boxes provided in the Inspector
  8. Enter a Headline for the Article in the Content Canvas
  9. Enter a Subline for the Article  in the Content Canvas
  10. Select an image for the Article in the Property Inspector (learn more about images here)
  11. Crop the right size for mobile ("phone") and desktop ("hero") in the Property Inspector and click apply
  12. Create your content e.g. insert text and other elements in the Content Canvas
  13. Add taxonomies in the Property Inspector
  14. Click the third tab in the inspector (target symbol). Please make sure to add SEO details like meta description (eg. the subline + Read more!), add keywords, and open graph images (these are for sharing to social media) for both desktop and mobile. You can use the same image as the header. 
  15. Click on "Publish" (right top corner button in orange)


Please note! When you publish a page in the content hub, it is not yet live. In order to make it live on your page, you need to go to your outlet page and connect your new hub page there. Learn how here!
