How to Adopt a page to a different language

Learn how to create a page for your outlet, by adopting an existing HUB page and changing it to your language

10.1.2022

You will often be able to take pages that have already been made by other country pages, and translate them, then bring them to your outlet. This saves everyone time, and avoids the risk of similar pages being made. Read the steps below to learn how:

  1. Log in to NEOS
  2. Find the page you would like to adopt
  3. Click on the globe symbol in the top right corner, under your name, and choose 'Adopt to..' (choose a language)
  4. In the document tree on the left side, unhide the page, so all elements become visible in the content canvas.
  5. In the right side in inspector, in 'Node Variants' you will then see which versions are available
  6. Add your author name, date of publication (should be the same as the original version), keywords in your language, meta description in your language etc.
  7. Begin adding your translated content, replacing it with the original, also making sure that any links in the page lead to the appropriate pages for your specific outlet
  8. Publish the changes
  9. NEXT STEP: To make this new page live and published, you must now connect it to your Outlet. Follow the steps on how to make your page live.
