Introduction to Event Count Down Element

Short guide on how to use this element!

12.12.2024

The count down element is an element in which you can add a specific date and the element will automatically count down from the day of it's creation to the day you specify. This element can be great for event promotion, campaign promotion, the arrival of a new animal at a sanctuary, an anniversary, etc.

How to create an Event Count Down Element

First things first, make sure you are using the correct page type, as this element is only available in Promotion Page types.

Once you have added the element to your page, the first thing you should do is to add the date of the Event we are counting down on. You can also add a specific time if you have it and a time zone.

Don't worry if after adding the date the counter is still at 0. The count down will automatically show in the front end but not in the hub.

Afterwards, you should add a background image. Don't forget to add the title, the alt text and an image for the mobile version of the element.

Additionally, you can add things like overlays to make the texts more visible. You also have the option to add a button in case you want users to go to, for example, the event page of the event you are promoting.

Important info: Web&Co has kindly added different language translations to the element. Make sure you are adding the element in the page with the appropriate language, since the element will get automatically translated ;)

Once you've hit 'Apply' and then 'Publish to Live' that's it! You will have your brand new Event Count Down.

Like we mentioned earlier, in the hub you are not going to be able to see the count down in action, you have to go to the front end and check that everything's okay! ;)
