How to: Citation for Sources
Guide to referencing in FOUR PAWS websites
Whenever we create a subpage that contains sources, we have to guarantee that all sources are cited in the correct way. To ensure consistency and standardisation of documents and subpages on websites, FOUR PAWS has decided that the Council of Science Editors (CSE) with Citation-Sequence (Numeric) must be used.
What to do
At the moment (August 2022), not all sources in articles, publications, guides etc. are structured according to CSE style. Therefore, we decided to proceed as followed:
- we will not change the sources on all of our subpages retroactive
- however, if we have to update an older page, we will check the references and see if they need adjustment
- when we receive new/updated content from Programmes/collegues, we check the references and if they don't follow the CSE style, Programmes has to adjust accordingly
From now on when creating a new subpage, we will use CSE Style for references!
