The LIONSROCK Programme in EcoSchool is a two-day immersive programme held at our Sanctuary, focused on promoting Animal Welfare while fostering a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness between animals, humans, and the environment. Through a range of engaging activities, you will discover the significance of “One Welfare,” where the well-being of animals, people, and the environment are intricately linked.

Programme Overview

This programme provides participants the opportunity of recharging, brainstorming, networking and team building, while gaining a deeper insight into how humans are intimately connected to nature and how animals as sentient beings deserve our respect, empathy and understanding. The programme has been structured and customised according to diverse target groups:

EcoSchool for Educators - To support educators in developing and implementing effective material and facilitation techniques in animal welfare, natural and social sciences, environmental sustainability, and related fields.

EcoSchool Camp - As an educational camping programme ideal for Grade 10-12 learners, university and college students.

The Creative Spark EcoSchool - Ideal for professionals who require a considerable amount of time of cogitation, generation of ideas, critical reflections as well as academic and intellectual discourses on often complex subjects relating to animal welfare, sustainability, and human welfare.

EcoSchool Leadership Programme - Caters for school learners, students and community youth groups in leadership positions.
